How Bout Now?
Known for her unique delivery of storytelling through music, Inayah Lamis is back at it again with a cool "shemix" of the popular billboard charting record "How bout now" by music industry icon Aubrey "Drake" Graham. It's a story of two friends of the opposite sex who takes advantage of a "moment alone" and still wonder if the friendship will remain the same.

The Jingle Queen
With the views rapidly increasing on her new single "Fairy Tale", people everyone are wanting to know what inspires The Jingle Queen to produce such amazing lyrics. Inayah took to instagram today to share what ignites her creativity. "For me, as a writer I always make stories out of things that impact my life particularly or somebody close to me. So, if I write it, it's a true story and it really happened. I'm glad that I can make someone's day and make them laugh, but if I write it, it really happened. If you try to play me, I'ma write a song about you."

Metaphorical Genius
I think it is safe to say that Inayah Lamis is a metaphorical genius. While repeatedly listening her single Fairy Tale, I could not help but to notice the play on words and the poetic creativity of the upcoming artist.
Fairy Tale is not your ordinary fantasy. When compared to the infamous work of literature "Cinderella", Fairy Tale is a work of art that leaves the listener with an ending that is a lot less pleasant than "they both lived happily ever after".
This story is about a girl who falls in love with an individual who, rather than become her prince charming, this individual soon becomes a villain right before her eyes.
It is a song that truly displays the artist's vulnerability with phrases like, "You had my heart wide open, withholding nothing" and "You fell asleep on my sofa when you came over and I told you, just come lay with me."
In addition, the artist takes the listener on a journey throughout different phases of the evidently failed relationship - from a point of mere love and admiration to a realization of deceitfulness and stubbornness. In the song the reader sings, "Shit was so beautiful until I realized that your suits and ties only mattered on Sundays."
Moreover, Inayah expresses herself through the use of hyperbole to provide the listener with an example of her dedication to this individual during their relationship. She states, "I hit your line a thousand times." to provide an understanding of the number of times she attempted to reach out to her significant other only to be forwarded to voicemail.
She further portrays the acts of selfishness from the unidentified individual by stating "You forgot that all that pain you endured, I went through that shit, too."
Fairy Tale is without a doubt a beautifully told story of a woman who has experienced the same repression as many women do today. It is a prime example of one who works diligently to paint a pretty picture merely to watch it dry in the rain (Lamis, 2018).

1 Milli
It is an exciting time to see the ones we admire break barriers in the industry. So when Inayah Lamis reached 1 million followers on Instagram in August 2018, fans and viewers were blown away by such an achievement.
MadePrime: So how does it feel to blow up overnight?
Inayah: Definitely didn't happen overnight. I went viral overnight. But I've been working at this my entire life. It is a must that I thank my Inayah'lators. You all have pushed me from 3k to 1 million. I cannot explain my gratitude, my gratefulness. I love you guys. I will not disappoint.
It is a delight to see the young artist walking into her prime and doing what she loves to do. And without the amount of success she's had so far, there is no doubt that Inayah will deliver on her promise to not disappoint.
